Top 5 Signs That Your First Date is NOT Going Well

The dating world is a complicated and confusing place filled with mixed signals and messages all with the goal of finding that special someone to settle down with. On the road to marriage, there is always one starting point: the first date. A first date affects the entire future of the relationship. One bad move can de-rail the whole process and so it’s important to be aware of whether your night on the town is going to end up just a waste of time. Here are 6 easy indicators that your first date is NOT going well:
1. So you are on your first date, and you are hoping everything is going well but there is just a little too much silence. To avoid this situation, it’s always good to pair a meal with an activity. This way, you get a great shared-experience that provides something to talk about. However, if you included a concert, or a movie, and there still isn’t much talking going on then the two of you are probably just not compatible. It’s okay to be a little awkward on a first date
but the tension should ease as time goes on.
2. A dinner date should always include appetizers, an entrée and dessert. Unless, you are trying to make an early movie, or you both agree to dietary
restrictions, there should be no reason to skip a single course at this meal. If he/she tries to speed up your first date, there probably won’t be a second
date.
3. You should always feel comfortable going to the bathroom on a date. However, if the person you are on a date with is running back and forth
to the bathroom every couple of minutes, it’s probably not because they have IBS or a weak bladder; they are plotting their escape! Also, if a date
is going well, then chances are he/she can hold it in for a few minutes!
4. When in conversation always try and make eye contact. If your date’s eyes are focused on a cell phone, things are not going great. This paired with
constant bathroom visits probably equals an upcoming phony emergency phone call to end the date right away. New apps for smart phones also set off
fake calls to take you out of a date, so if there eyes are waiting for a phone call it’s probably time to get the check.
5. This one’s easy, if the conversation gets to talking about past relationships and sticks there, then your date probably hasn’t gotten over their last
relationship. Try and change the conversation to avoid any possible tears.
6. If at any moment, your date begins talking about after the dinner and you are not included, that’s a deal breaker! Dinner should not be the end of a night
but the beginning! Go walk around town; spend some more time together, anything to get you better acquainted with each other. However, if your date
offered to drive you home and your Caesar salad’s haven’t yet been served, then maybe you should take a rain check on that fancy stroll through the
park.
Well, there you have it! 6 Indicators your first date is NOT going well, hopefully you have better luck in finding that special someone.
