Several of our friends recommended this diet to us and they told us the key to success is to exercise moderately so every night we walk around our neighborhood for about 45 minutes.

Generally speaking, it honestly depends on the person. Each person is different and while some people may lose that 20lbs in 1-2 weeks, it may take others a bit longer.

Exercise plays a HUGE part in losing weight.

Don’t underestimate the power of walking 1-2 miles every night. The last time I saw my cousin, he weighed about 250lbs. He had a huge belly and just looked out of shape. His wife finally got him to walk 1 hour every day (he went to the local highschool track and walked for an hour). I saw my cousin 2 months later and almost didn’t recognize him. He must have lost 30lbs….he is 47 years old and I mistook him for a 30 year old man.

The point here is get out and exercise ! I think people have a big misconception when it comes to exercising and losing weight. You don’t have to hit the gym for 4 hours every day, then swim 10 miles. Something as simple as walking 1 hour a day will help you lose weight.

I have been on the medifast diet now for almost a month. It’s -20 degrees below 0 where I live, so taking a walk around the block is out of the question.

Instead, I drive down to the local mall (opens late because it’s December) and go from one end to the other and back again. By the time I’m done, I have walked almost 2 miles.

Thanks for these codes, will be using them to hopefully lose a few pounds in 2010. I used to do the yoyo diets but now have resolved to really and truly put forth an effort in the new year to lose weight, exercise right and eat right. Hopefully this will keep all of the weight off for good. Medifast diet plan was recommended to me by a good friend.

Not trying to brag here, but I just reached my target weight of 185# !!!

I lost 25lbs over the past 2 months with medifast and exercising every single day (I took the advice of the poster above and walked 2 miles every day around my block).

Will be recommending medifast (and this site) to my co-workers !
