I realize this topic could be an invitation to spammers to spam their fake online dating sites, so we will be moderating this thread very carefully…

In the meantime, have any of you guys or gals had success with such single-focus sites as "black singles meet" or "Asian Singles" or Jdate.com? I'm curious as to whether or not these sites work, do you find what you're looking for, or do you feel that the only reason they were set up was to make a profit off people of a certain demographic?

Do you find that sites like eHarmony, Match.com, etc seem to work better?
