As promised, I am back. 
So I finally met someone on Eharmony !! Before I get into all the not-so-juicy details, allow me to back up for a moment. I signed up for Eharmony.com about a week ago. I used an Eharmony promotional code that I found off the web. I have compiled a list of these Eharmony promo codes below so you don’t have to search forever like I did. When I signed up for Eharmony, I took the free personality profile quiz. It took me about 40 minutes to fill out. I was amazed at how detailed the questions were, and at the end, how spot-on their analysis of my personality was. I instantly received several “matches” via the Eharmony communication system. Three guys had their pictures up, two others didn’t. I naturally chose to pursue communication with one the guys who had their pictures up.
If you are on Eharmony and don’t have your picture posted, I wouldn’t expect many people to email you. Let’s face it…..only like 1% of the people on the face of this planet are considered “models”. Model I am not….attractive, I am (or at least my mommy tells me so). So I had no problem posting my picture. I am 5′7 sandy blonde, green and a penny over 125#. I am not after a drop dead gorgeous guy (ok, maybe I was when I was in my teens…..but at 30 years of age….”gravity” takes over and well, you know).
Eharmony doesn’t allow you to choose who you can talk to. They choose who you are compatible with (according to what I could find on their website) based upon your personality profiles. Then after you are shown a potential match, you are allowed to send questions back and forth via their “guided communication”. I found this to be extremely refreshing ! The last dating site I was on, only allowed a “wink” and this was pretty lame. Eharmony’s guided communication process allowed me to figure out who was inside the head of the guy that I was communicating with. I will call him “John” (that isn’t his real name). John had some pretty good questions to ask me…..and I fired my salvo right back. It took us about 4 days to go back and forth until we got to something called “Dr. Warren’s message”. Then it was open season. We chatted back and forth via email for about a day, then exchanged phone numbers. He seemed like a nice guy. He is a pre-med student at a local university and seems to have his life in order. Our first conversation was light and breezy and last night we talked for about 2 hours. The conversation really flowed and I felt really comfortable.
I think Eharmony is the best online dating site out there because it really matches you up with quality singles. I think this is a good sign of things to come
So far, so good.
I’m thinking about asking him out for a cup of coffee tomorrow night when he calls me later on this evening….
